Friday\, 5:00pm – 8:30pm\, Saturday & Sunday\, 9:30am – 6:00pm\nBeginning on: 9th September\, 2023\nFace to face in SMILE Office\, Fairbairn House\, Livingston\n\n \n\n\nWelcome to the Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy\, working with Children\, Young People and Adults.  \nS.M.I.L.E. Counselling & Training have set this Diploma with the aim to provide a solid foundation in the integrative approach to counselling practice. The course is based upon the Humanistic\, Person-Centred modality\, recognising the individual strengths and qualities of the therapeutic agreement.  \nThis course is theoretically informed by Person-Centred\, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theories. There is an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship\, self-awareness\, empowerment of clients\, and awareness of social and cultural contexts as being at the core of therapeutic change. The final module focuses on the competences of therapeutic practice\, working with children and young people. The course is anticipated to be credit rated at SCQF level 10/11.  \nCourse requirements:  \n\n400 taught hours\n100 clinical hours\n20 hours ongoing clinical supervision at a ratio of 1:6\nA minimum of 16 hours personal therapy is suggested\n\nThe Diploma is a part-time programme\, delivered over 2 years. SUMMARY:ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
DESCRIPTION:ASIST \nLivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid.   \nASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone 16 or older can learn and use the ASIST model.  \nSince its development in 1983\, ASIST has received regular updates to reflect improvements in knowledge and practice\, and over 1\,000\,000 people have taken the workshop. Friday\, 5:00pm – 8:30pm\, Saturday & Sunday\, 9:30am – 6:00pm\nBeginning on: 24th September\, 2022\nFace to face in SMILE Office\, Fairbairn House\, Livingston\n\n \n\n\nWelcome to the Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy\, working with Children\, Young People and Adults.  \nS.M.I.L.E. Counselling & Training have set this Diploma with the aim to provide a solid foundation in the integrative approach to counselling practice. The course is based upon the Humanistic\, Person-Centred modality\, recognising the individual strengths and qualities of the therapeutic agreement.  \nThis course is theoretically informed by Person-Centred\, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theories. There is an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship\, self-awareness\, empowerment of clients\, and awareness of social and cultural contexts as being at the core of therapeutic change. The final module focuses on the competences of therapeutic practice\, working with children and young people. The course is anticipated to be credit rated at SCQF level 10/11.  \nCourse requirements:  \n\n400 taught hours\n100 clinical hours\n20 hours ongoing clinical supervision at a ratio of 1:6\nA minimum of 16 hours personal therapy is suggested\n\nThe Diploma is a part-time programme\, delivered over 2 years. Counselling has developed this course with our whole community in mind.  Our aim is to be able to deliver this not only within communities but to professionals and young people in schools.     \nThis will be a 9-module course covering the following topics:   \nPre-Course Module 1 – Safeguarding Level 2 (required to be completed online 7 days prior to beginning the taught element of the course).   \nModule 2 – Wellbeing and Recovery     \nModule 3 – Depression & Mood     \nModule 4 – Suicide Awareness   \nModule 5 – Stress & Anxiety   \nModule 6 – Understanding Young People & Self -harm   \nModule 7 – Child Sexual Exploitation & Online Safety   \nModule 8 – Attachment & Relationships   \nModule 9 – Bereavement & Loss       \n  \nNext Course:  \nThursday evenings\, 17:30 – 20:30 \nStarting on 3rd of February\, 2022 – 24th of March\, 2022 \nWill be delivered remotely\, via Zoom \n   \nThe cost of the full course including the pre-online module\, taught modules\, materials\, handbooks and certificates is £495.  You will be invoiced ahead of the course starting.  \nThis course will be delivered online until social distancing measures are relaxed.   \nYou do not need any formal or previous qualifications to attend.   \nYou can purchase the full course for your company.
