EMMA KEELING (MSc)
Emma completed her music therapy training at Queen Margaret University after moving to Edinburgh from Birmingham and is a Young Persons Counsellor at S.M.I.L.E.

Emma has worked in schools and youth work settings since 2011 and has always enjoyed being involved with music and drama groups. She is passionate about working with children and young people and helping them with their mental health and wellbeing. Emma feels strongly that each person has great potential and enjoys using different therapeutic approaches, including music therapy when appropriate, to help them realise their own strengths. She is a firm believer that communicating a need either verbally or non-verbally is a brave and powerful action and that being creative can positively impact counselling spaces.

In terms of music, Emma is a keen piano player and likes to dabble in as many other instruments as possible. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking,  hill-walking and watching her two cats get up to all sorts of mischief! Emma also loves spending time with family and friends, often whilst playing a board game or chatting over good food.
