SMILE Counselling are working with At the Root Theatre and Reconnect Regal Theatre to empower and educate children and young people through drama.
Through funding from Creative Scotland, we will be running a free six week drama & storytelling programme starting on Wednesday 4th November.
We believe that drama facilitates an empowering and safe space for children and young people to explore these issues. The project will explore online safety within the context of risk and choice.
Workshops will be split into three groups:
Kids (P1-P3) 5.30-6.30
Juniors (P4-P7) 6.30-7.30
Seniors (S1-S6) 7.30-8.30
Workshops are run by fully qualified, first aid trained and PVG checked workshop facilitators. The Drama & Storytelling workshops will explore themes of online safety, choice and emotions.
All workshops are covid safe – all staff are double jabbed, wear masks and sanitise throughout the session. Staff are also taking regular lateral flow tests.
